Community
Dedicated to Our Communities
Being a good corporate citizen not only benefits the communities in which we live and work, it gives our employees a sense of pride in working at Zeller and the role they play in the company’s philanthropic efforts. Zeller gives back to the community by donating a percentage of its sales to numerous charities and organizations in the cities in which we live. We also share our space by allowing community organizations to use our facilities for meetings and other activities.
We are particularly proud of our long-term participation and support of the Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection. This program supports middle and high school students in Rochester and Syracuse, New York, who are at risk of dropping out of school. Zeller employees mentor students and provide on-the-job training.
What it means:
- We are “Good Citizens” within our communities
- We are active in communities where we do business
- We give back financially to the communities that we work and live in to positively influence their growth and stability
- Giving back to the community is the right thing to do
Why it is important:
- Provides a common bond and shared responsibility within the local community
- A stronger and more viable community enhances the environment for growth of its business
- Instills a sense of goodwill among all employees leading to greater loyalty and a sense of pride
How it supports Zeller Corporation’s Mission and Values:
- Enables Zeller to attract and retain the best people and help them to feel good about sharing common values
- Demonstrates the concept of “teamwork” as a social responsibility to pitch in and give back
